Book Highlight

Olivia Robertson wrote in the book "Fellowship of Isis Manuals: A Compendium":

“Ireland is one of the last bastions of true vision, and therefore a lighthouse for a new aeon.  The Goddess Tara, known in Eire and the Far East, is She who draws the stars down from the heavens to reach the mountains and hills.  Dana is She who brings light and love to the hearts of every creature.  Brighid is the sustainer of the Vestal Flame, the hearth fire that is our life, and provides the Well of Inspiration.  It is these three Goddesses that have appeared to me and communed with me while I was fully conscious:  Tara in 1946; Dana in 1952 and Brighid in 2000.

“I now realise that They came with especial intent:  for me to share what They brought to the earth.  From She who I called ‘The Silver Lady’, inspired the Noble Order of Tara, that we should fight for our environment.  Dana has brought forth the Druid Clan of Dana, for an awakening of our kindred souls in the realms of nature, through mystical vision.  Brighid has come last with an awakening awareness of sound:  sonics create the spiralling of life itself.  It was from Isis Herself, in shining White Spirit Form that gave me my vocation in 1946, and that led to my brother Lawrence, his wife Pamela, and myself to found the Fellowship of Isis in 1976."

Book Highlight: Isis of Fellowship

In 2002, Olivia Robertson wrote "Isis of Fellowship, How the Fellowship of Isis was Founded."  She wrote this Foreword in April of that year:

"In my eighty-fifth year, I feel the time has come for me honestly to describe how my brother, his wife and myself founded the Fellowship of Isis.

"This is a question I am so often asked and as often brush the query aside with a recommendation to read our Manifesto, study the Liturgy or join a centre! What I have avoided as a matter of principle is to be personal.

"I had encapsuled my personal experiences within a framework of ideas in my book 'The Call of Isis'. I refused to write an autobiography. I wished to give the rest of my life to promoting the Fellowship: not on encouraging a cult of personality, bugbear of our media-crazed society.

"Mystical awakening is impossible to describe to those who have not experienced it. Suffice to say that during my life, like thousands of other people, I have had a series of awakenings into 'The Real World.' The ever-living Now, the eternal reality that exists beneath our dreams and nightmares we call 'life' is ever present, awaiting our recognition.

"It is the source of our being and all that we hold to be good, noble and true. Most people have had moments of this blessed enlightenment. But everyday living smothers our true awareness, and too many bury their lovely treasures of 'living time', fearing that disbelief, ridicule and suspicion will sully their hidden jewels. Like love, mystical experiences are best guarded beneath the veil. To expose is to cheapen.

"When someone queried a yogi why he was breaking customary secrecy by publishing his knowledge, he replied: 'When the house is on fire, you throw your valuables out of the window.' This fateful era is just such a time of crisis.

"In 1946 I was alone. In 1952 I was joined by my brother, an Anglican rector, who also had the Great Awakening. We were joined by his wife, who for a whole month was able to sustain the experience. We awaited spiritual guidance, wondering what we were to do. To quote a new version of the words of St. Patrick: 'On earth at this fateful hour, Isis cometh in Her power.' The Goddess came to us. In 1976 we were ready to begin."

"In my 85th year, I feel the time has come for me honestly to describe how my brother, his wife and myself founded the Fellowship of Isis. This is a question I am so often asked and as often brush the query aside with a recommendation to read our Manifesto, study the Liturgy or join a centre! Athena, Arcadian Awakening

"Athena, Arcadian Awakening" by Olivia Robertson is now available in paperback.  It includes eleven Fellowship of Isis liturgy rites and fifteen illustrations.  This is the last book Olivia wrote before her passing in 2013.

From the introduction:  "My new book concerns spiritual awakening through the arts. We learn of the work of Elaine and Aiden, now qualified Alchemists in the FOI Priesthood. The Rainbow Flow of Divine Life, circulates through inter-communion spirals, pervading all beings. As we progress, we extend this awareness from Spirit Guides to the sphere of Angels and Devas who are advanced beyond us, and are therefore our teachers. The culmination of Divine Beings emanating from a Heavenly Sphere comes when we are ready for it, and can enjoy it. In Heaven there is no fear, nor evil. Why should we object to various names religious people give to these beings? Let us enjoy the reality of the whole company of heaven, without religious conflict."

"Athena" may be ordered through Amazon.com or any other bookstore, and by public libraries.  You may also read it in full at any time on our website:

Giving birth is a microcosm of the Birth of the Universe."

Brigid of the Rainbow Planets

"Brigid of the Rainbow Planets: Adventures of the Alchemical Twins" is now available in paperback.  This book features eight liturgy rites of the Fellowship of Isis and six illustrations by the FOI co-founder Olivia Robertson.

Olivia wrote in the introduction:   "How could I allow the questing twins to rest on their laurels – having achieved the twelve alchemical degrees of the zodiac, and not pursue the other twenty degrees of the FOI Spiral of Alchemy?  I kept wondering what happened to them.  Learning the Mysteries through identification with attractive individuals helps us to respond not only with the mind but with the heart.. . To explore one’s own psychic centres not only may bring us spiritual awareness, but a relationship with our planets.  Each is a Power-House reflecting a harmonic of the Central Sun. The Alchemy of the Goddess Brigid extends one’s consciousness through the colour spectrum and musical octaves beyond this material world – yet embraces it.  'As Above, so Below.'  Earth is a reflection of Heaven."

Nuit of the Milky Way

"Nuit of the Milky Way" by Olivia Robertson is now available in paperback. Olivia wrote in the introduction:

"In these rites, the Apprentices working for these final degrees I call Elaine and Aiden, the Questing Twins. Their Guide, adopting various guises, is the Shaman Time Traveller – Hermes – Merlin – Ariadne – Odin – who guides those of us who long for spiritual adventure. The Questing Twins' journey is to have a Vision Quest through the starry portals of the zodiac, inspired by the given Oracle from 'Sybil.' Within their own chosen shrine they enter trance, under the guidance of their own Priestly Alchemical Teacher. The alchemical answer brought through the Mysteries of Isis, and other transforming Goddesses, comes from the Motherhood of the Goddess."

The Many Voices of Isis

"The Many Voices of Isis, Oracles of Alchemy" is now available in paperback.  This is the companion volume to "Sibyl, Oracles of the Goddess"  and it includes the 114 remaining Oracles from the Fellowship of Isis Liturgy, as well as 10 chapter illustrations, all by co-founder Olivia Robertson.

She writes in the introduction: "How may we achieve what is required of us? The Oracles have returned to aid us. The Oracle used to be the medium through which the Deities were able to inspire, animate and bring to fruition the latent gifts of those who came to them. Their mighty role, as the Roman Sybils, affected the whole of Roman civilization. Oracles were the life-flow of all great religious teachings on earth. . .I am beginning to realise that this is a wonderful time of Great Awakening! Not only Star children are born among us, but we ourselves find that the barrier that separates us from heaven is dissolving."

Highlighted book: The Call of Isis

From "The Call of Isis", by Olivia Robertson:

"When one surveys the condition of the earth, threatened by global war, planetary pollution, the possibility of a beautiful change dawning on earth seems remote! But the physical world is created through the action of mind; and the mind is capable of fantastic change when its environment is threatened...

"How can we as individuals co-operate with this great work? It is best, I feel, for like-minded people to combine into meditation circles. No special temple is needed: any room may be used in a friend's house. And for private daily meditation, one can set aside even a corner of a room for one's spiritual attunement with Divinity. And through this habitual focussing of awareness, inspiration will come. Of course inspiration varies with each one of us: one may surprise oneself by developing an unexpected talent. Instead of specializing in one particular form of work or gift, one may discover pleasure in painting, writing, singing, dancing and modelling clay: and one need not mind about a lack of proficiency!

"To evolve spiritually, it is essential to extend one's field of awareness. Once inhibiting self-consciousness is cast aside, latent talents may flower gloriously.  As a growth of consciousness takes place, small groups join larger ones, who tend to seek a beautiful area in which to live together. In such centres humans live in harmony with animals, birds, trees and plants, with the spirit of Nature Herself. A network of such centres may bring about a wonderful transformation of our earth. For in the depth of each one of us is a longing to live happily with all that springs from the source of Divine Life.

"Life does not limit itself to form or time or space. It is eternal, ever-conscious, all-pervading. In unity with this, we realize the joy of immortality, and are in harmony with all that is."

"Isis of Alchemy, Transformation through the Goddess" is now available in paperback.  It may be ordered through Amazon (or any other bookstore), as well as through libraries.  It is always available to be read in full for no charge in the Online Library section of our website as well.

This book includes eight rituals of the Fellowship of Isis along with illustrations, by Olivia Robertson. She wrote in the introduction:

"My own series of experiences occurred while I was writing the Alchemical Rituals now presented in this book. Yet when I began writing, I knew little of the subject. I often re-read three of my favourite classics: 'Le Comte de Gabalis' by the Abbe de Montfaucon de Villars, 'The Chymical Wedding of Christian Rosenkreutz,' and 'The Most Holy Trinosophia' by le Comte de Saint Germain. . .As to my own quest, it has led me home. I have discovered the hidden sun within the transforming fire on Brigid's Hearth."

Sybil, Oracles of the Goddess

"Sybil, Oracles of the Goddess" is now available in paperback. It may be ordered through Amazon or any other bookstore, and it is also available through local libraries.  (You may always read it in its entirety at no charge at our website as well.) This book features 48 Oracles from the FOI Liturgy, as well as 6 illustrations, all from co-founder Olivia Robertson.

From the Introduction:
"The Deities have Their own Bodies of varying coloured radiations, stronger and more beautiful than anything we can imagine. Yet we and all other beings partake in Their Glory because we are all born of the Cosmic Mother. We project our shadow selves into incarnation in order to learn through experience. We develop discrimination and will power through choosing the good, and rejecting evil. Some hardy souls prefer to spend self-directed life-times of suffering, and so evolve through lone effort. Others who follow the path of the Mysteries gladly ask for and receive help from Those qualified to give it. These Oracles are for those who are willing to accept guidance in their efforts to bring the Divine Plan to fruition on earth."

Psyche, Magical Journeys of the Goddess

"Psyche, Magical Journeys of the Goddess", by Olivia Robertson, is now available in paperback. It may be ordered through Amazon or any other bookstore, and it is also available through local libraries.  You may read it in its entirety at no cost through our website as well.

From the introduction:
"Journeys of the psyche are the life giving joy of those who dream of perfection. The harder everyday existence becomes, the more we draw away from it and, denied peaceful sleep crowned with beautiful dreams, may create images of loveliness through creative imagination. We learn to escape from the unreal world of transient time and place into immortal reality: from boredom, pain and fear of death into realisation of our divinity. To imagine is to co-create with the Deities. It is to give birth to manifold forms. The inner planes are more pliable to the interaction of thought-feeling than is the physical world. What are planets but dream playgrounds of Goddesses and Gods? We are beginners in the art of creation. The spider weaves a perfect logarithmic curve and the bee, exquisite hexagrams for their honey stores: and when mothers give birth they also create. But this is unconscious activity. Through divine inspiration we are learning to choose the patterns needed for our lives. We shall know the future, for we shall have formed it."

Urania, Ceremonial Magic of the Goddess

"Urania: Ceremonial Magic of the Goddess" is the latest of the Fellowship of Isis liturgy now available in paperback. You may find it through Amazon's online bookstore, or ordered through any other bookstore or library.  It is also always available to be read in its entirety for free through our website.

Olivia Robertson writes in the Introduction:
"The glory of Magic is that the Practitioner may attain co-creation with the Deities. The Magic Wand is the paint-brush, the Magic Circle is the canvas and the pigments are living rays. The forms conjured may through Invocation become animated: and causes imagined within the mind may produce effects on many levels through the law of Octaves. . . The wise Practitioner honours the Divinity of Goddesses and Gods, before every Rite by some act, such as the offering of incense. The Deity or Deities are not impersonal archetypes or personified ideals formulated by human beings, but are transcendental Beings who through Their own use of the Archetypes and Virtues, control the Universe through the Angelic Hierarchy. It is wise for the Magician to describe the Deity and the Virtues associated with such a Being, and the work expected of the Devotees. A God and Goddess by very definition must be good, and so have divine attributes. Hence the Practitioner has complete faith both in the Deities and in Guardian Angels and Helpers. The intention of the ceremony must also be good. . . The Rites in this Liturgy are not subjective, though they have subjective elements. The Powers described have been experienced, the visions seen, the effects gained through causes put into operation. And here we have the great division between those who have experienced magic through clairvoyance, clairaudience, levitation, telekinesis, mystical awakening - one or any of these - and those who have not. 'Those who know' cannot prove, cannot explain, cannot convince. All they can do is to provide a rainbow bridge whereby those who long for magical experience may attain some of this alchemical gold, obtained through transmutation of elements from one sphere to another."

Melusina, Life Centres of the Goddess

The Fellowship of Isis Liturgy book "Melusina, Life Centres of the Goddess" is now available in paperback. It may be ordered through Amazon's online bookstore, as well as any other bookstore or library.

Olivia Robertson writes in the Introduction:
"When we have received a clear picture of what our part is in the Divine Plan, the next worry is, how can we, so insignificant, so dream-filled in a harsh world, do anything about it? This is where the Melusina comes to the rescue. There is only one source of Power; Deity. Men have operated this power through the Great God Mode and produced intellectual, artistic and scientific marvels. The rebound has been misuse, resulting in our present dangers. But the other source of Power, the Goddess, has been almost totally neglected. The Oracle has been relegated to the circus- "Madame Zita tells Fortunes". Flames spring up for the stage magician . . . Power through the Great Goddess Mode has been ascribed to black magic or cheating. Even life after death has been denied or simply ignored. Yet this Power works through the etheric vehicle around which the earthly body is built. It flows through the etheric counterpart of the entire physical universe. Its area has been denigrated as "Limbo", place of disembodied ghosts, poltergeists, black magicians, witches and the occasional "High Adept" bring some to order! Its force has been termed Kundalini in India, Manitu with the North American Indians, Mana of the peoples of Oceana, Melusina to Westerners, and Buto to the Egyptians. When we have truly centred ourselves in Deity, and clearly know our Intention, we may invoke this Power. We realise it is not, as electricity, to be evoked according to our will, but respectfully to be invoked as Living Deity, Life Power."

"Sophia, Cosmic Consciousness of the Goddess" is now available in paperback and may be ordered through all Amazon outlets, as well as any other bookstore or library.

Olivia Robertson writes in the introduction:
"The Divine Wisdom lightens the sky of the seeker for Truth as the Veiled Goddess Sophia. 'I am She who was, and is, and shall be. No man hath lifted my veil.' In verity no analysis, no intellectual piecing together of facts, can penetrate that veil. It is the Paroketh of white light that distinguishes sphere from sphere. The impious, the inquisitive, the falsely clever prisoners of the material brain cannot even realise the existence of spheres beyond the veil. Their lives are bounded by passing time and changing space, by the extent of the five senses. Hence there is no desire to reach that which is to them unreal! For such, there is no ultimate truth, no Deity. . . The present zodiac contemplative ceremonies introduce the seeker to the Higher Sophia of the Trino-Sophia, thrice holy gnosis of wisdom.  The aim of stellar contemplation is to centre oneself in the motionless hub of the passing wheel of the stars. In ordinary life we journey from day to night, from year to year. Yesterday is as lost to us as yesteryear or childhood: tomorrow is non-existent and so as remote as death. The aim of the contemplative is to experience all-time, all-space, in greater consciousness. From such a stillness, many lives are experienced again in present consciousness: and greater spheres may be known, in which life is so vivid that this 'normal' existence seems in comparison to be but a passing dream. This is where the ethical outlook of the neophyte is all-important. However dream-like any sphere may appear to be, the ethical and moral choices offered are real. Truth penetrates all realms, and free-will to choose the good is given, even in a dream. Judgement rules throughout the planes."
