"So one of the FOI’s core purposes is
to remind us that the Goddess is not ‘out there’.
We are her hands, her eyes, her legs
and her voice in the world."

"Companions, let us contemplate the Awakening of Taurus and Isis: Gaze with me upon the glory of the black sky of winter. With the eyes of wondering childhood we see the starry cluster of the Pleiades as dancing nymphs moving across the sky. They come with the white bull, Serapis, who rises from the milky sky river, Eridanus. His baleful left eye gleams like a red torch, and within it are all lost memories. In his eye is held forever the beauty of the Goddess; and her forked cows' horns may be seen behind his. Following him strides the hawk-headed giant Sahu-Orion-Horus of the Southern sky. “And rising from the milky sea of heaven comes great Isis, and on Her brow is the full moon and in her right hand She holds Her star, Anuki, Sirius that holds the immortal twin spirits of Osiris and Herself. This is the story of eternal love and life, of the losing and the gaining of the death in the West and the rising in the East. Contemplate and wonder." (Olivia Robertson, from "Sophia")

Please join us in remembering and sending blessings to the late Olivia Robertson, whose birthday was April 13th, 1917. Here is an audio clip of Olivia speaking on the importance of finding purpose in life:
(mp3 / 52 secs / 410 kb)
Audio transcript: “A life without a purpose is a life without meaning. How we long to wake up and be greeted by the rising Sun of something to be accomplished – something we truly in our own hearts want to do. Not what other people tell us we ought to do, what we want to do: a work of art, happiness, sport, movement, travel, stillness, peace, love . . . so that when we reach the end of our earthly life, it is a new beginning to see the fulfillment of our dream in higher realms than this, drawing our shadow world into the true world of Reality."

A past version of the Shrine of Aries at the Foundation Center Temple, which Olivia Robertson created and dedicated to "Isis and Gaea as Nature Spirits." Minette wrote this description:
"Palu Irish Cat Goddess. Carved by David Durdin-Robertson. He had begun to paint her blue – OR completed it. She is between an African wood-carving of a Giraffe, and a picture on slate of Etaine and Midir, Irish Nature Sidhe by OR. Behind him is an African animal hanging on cloth."

"Not one flower is like another. For in me is perfect Origin.
Show forth my grace in your ideas and work, in individual particularity."
